About KIT Formwork and Scaffolding
KIT is a proudly owned South African formwork and scaffolding operation. It formally operated under the name RMD Kwikform which is a UK based company. The company was bought by the South African management team from the UK holding company in September 2020. KIT will operate as before at the same high level of service to the industry. However, endeavors will still be made to raise the bar of excellent service even higher.
The KIT mission will be to improve the standard of support and engineering input to make KIT the best leaders in the field for temporary works, both in the civil and building environment. The RMD Kwikform systems will be retained to ensure continuity but also because it is for most applications the leaders in the field of innovative formwork and scaffolding design.
The management team including the branch managers and administrative support personnel have vast experience in the formwork and scaffolding field. KIT acquired the South African developed PumaTech Rental Equipment Software to support efficient management of equipment in the yard and in the field.
Pricing will be very competitive and KIT will counter any rate offered by other suppliers. KIT have branches in Centurion, Durban, Cape Town and satellite operations in Nelspruit and Bloemfontein. When the economy improve KIT will be investigating an additional branch in the Eastern Cape Coastal region.
The shareholders of KIT underwrite their belief in the growth of the construction industry. Despite the negativity caused by the COVID 19 endemic the shareholders declared their support for development of the South African construction industry as a supplier as well as the improvement of temporary works design philosophy and training.
Although KIT is a new KID on the block, the experience contained in the operation is ample, old and tested. We will KIT you with the best solution for your needs.
